Buster

Buster aka Brown is the icon for Fung Collaboratives and entered the artworld as the resident host for Lance Fung Gallery at the young age of 1/2 year old in 1996. He greeted guests at the inaugural exhibition of video artist Shigeko Kubota’s work in 1996 right through to the final exhibition in 2005. Through his encouragement, founder Lance Fung decided to expand his already active curatorial practice and leave behind the commercial activity of Lance Fung Gallery to full time efforts with Fung Collaboratives.

“I was quite honored when the graphic designer Jeff Debany asked me to pose for the image of the logo for Fung Collaboratives”, recalls Buster.

Buster continues to inspire all that knew him. He passed away on February 19, 2011 in Lance’s arms. He lived until the age of 15 years and two days.
