To tempt the palate, a preview of The Snow Show was created in Lapland in February 2003. The intriguing snow and video piece designed by Asymptote together with Osmo Rauhala challenged the builders in Finland’s snow building capital, Kemi. Jene Highstein’s and Steven Holl’s massive ice piece rose in the capital of Lapland, Rovaniemi, to the awe and inspiration of local inhabitants and the numerous winter tourists from around the world.
